Yoga holiday in Cuba
Look forward to a unique yoga retreat where you’ll experience vibrant Havana, the lush Viñales Valley, and the serene, green paradise of El Rosario – where we’ll be staying at the beautiful retreat center, Casa Prima.
Here, outdoor yoga awaits, surrounded by mountains, lakes, and palm trees – the scent of freshly made Cuban food, the sound of cicadas, and the morning sun on your skin. We combine presence and yoga with cultural experiences, a beach day at Cayo Jutías, local meals, and plenty of time to simply be and recharge.
The Cuba retreat is a complete package trip in collaboration with the travel company Green Alligator, where everything is included – flights and all transportation, accommodation, meals, e-visa, excursions, and yoga. The only extras you choose yourself are optional nature experiences like massage, SUP, or horseback riding in the surrounding landscape.
This retreat is for you who long for a nourishing break filled with calm, community, and uplifting Caribbean vibes. You’ll get to experience the authentic Cuba – far away from mass tourism

Experience the Best of Cuba!
On this retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in yoga and meditation every morning and evening – under the open sky with views of lakes, palm trees, and green mountains. We begin with two days in beautiful and culturally rich Havana, but we’ll primarily stay at Casa Prima in El Rosario, which we travel to on Day 3 (see the full program below at the bototm of this info page). You’ll experience a simple and beautiful retreat setting, surrounded by nature and silence. Here, we practice yoga on a covered outdoor terrace morning and evening, dine under the stars, and feel deeply connected – both to the earth and to each other. In Havana, we stay at Tribe Caribe Cayo Hueso (Day 1 and 2) and Casa Albero Dulce (Day 11, just before departure).
There is space here for both rest, rhythm, and slowness, as the days gently unfold in western Cuba’s warm and lush landscapes.
It’s a heartfelt invitation to step away from the pace of everyday life and into a space where your senses awaken and your body has room to breathe. In addition to the daily yoga and reflection sessions, the program includes rich excursions and meaningful encounters with Cuban nature and culture.
Program highlights beyond yoga include:
– A full-day beach trip to the paradise island of Cayo Jutías, where we drive on bumpy dirt roads through green hills and palm groves in small off-road vehicles. The day offers swimming, snorkeling, relaxation, and lunch served with your feet in the white sand and views of turquoise sea.
– A guided day trip to the lush Viñales Valley, where we hike among limestone mountains and red earth, visit tobacco farmers, and float silently through an underground river surrounded by natural beauty.
– Countless amazing food experiences. We don’t just eat to feel full – we taste our way through Cuba’s delicious cuisine. From rustic, open-fire meals in the countryside to Havana’s most iconic restaurant, La Guarida – famous in film, politics, and art, and beloved for its elevated Cuban cuisine and rooftop views.
– Sunset yoga on a hilltop with 360° views – a space for silence, connection, and perhaps a Caribbean cocktail in hand.
– Exploring Havana on foot – through faded facades, lush courtyards, and colorful colonial streets. Along the way, we dance in a local salsa workshop and ride through the city in a classic American car – just as the locals still do. A way to feel the
city – in both body and tempo.
– Plenty of time to just be – read in the shade, swim in the lake, nap, sit in silence, or walk in the surrounding landscape.
Optional activities (booked and paid for on-site):
– Open-air massage
– Stand Up Paddleboarding on the lake
– Horseback riding in nature
– Cycling and hiking
– Guided bird and nature observation
