A little about me
My name is Cecilie Elvirah Lassen and I am the woman behind Bevæg&Sans. Privately, I live in Aarhus with my seven-year-old son. My driving force is the love of communicating and teaching one of life's fundamental themes - the ability to stand strong in oneself and meet life's challenges from a foundation of self-esteem and self-acceptance.
In short, I am concerned with creating better conditions for well-being in your private life, as well as in the larger societal framework. With my courses, I want to guide and support you in your own personal development and transformation. I work from a foundation that has an eye for body and mind in connection with each other - as we are more than just a head with a lot of thoughts and habit patterns. My experience is that when we work with all aspects and feel the connection of body and mind, we can really start to move forward. From here, we can also start to see new opportunities in the larger societal framework we are constantly part of.
I offer well-being courses targeted at young people and adults based on my education as a life and youth coach and yoga teacher. Yoga is a large part of my work and I also offer teaching as 1:1 yoga courses, company courses, retreats and periodic group lessons in Aarhus C and Hammel. Yoga is also included in all my youth courses to help young people experience themselves as connected in both body and mind.
In addition, I work as a well-being consultant in project collaborations with municipalities, associations and private companies. Here, I draw on my background in philosophy and sociology and conduct studies, evaluations and analyses on projects dealing with well-being issues in a larger perspective.
My background
I have extensive experience in teaching and therapy, and have taught yoga and personal development courses for the past 11 years. My own encounter with yoga 15 years ago opened up a whole new world for me, both physically and mentally, and I love seeing how this form of movement can benefit so many. Movement is a big part of my everyday life, both the very physically active, but also the gentle and relaxing. I often use a combination of both, as that balance has a positive effect on the way I face challenges.
I have a wide range of yoga education behind me: Including a 200 and 300 hour basic education in Hatha yoga from Ayur-Eco yoga in India, further education in yin yoga, restorative yoga, postpartum and pregnancy as well as an education in children's yoga and mindfulness. I am a trained youth coach at 'Hverdagens Helte' and have a BA in philosophy and sociology.
In addition, I have previously studied Psychomotorics and Relaxation for three years and studied Kraino Sacral Therapy with Trine Rosenberg. Although my primary profession is as a teacher and consultant, the above educations have given me a lot of experience in my encounters with those around me. This is reflected in my teaching style and my profile as a collaborator, where I prioritize presence and humor in interaction with great professional skill.
