Coaching for young people and parents

Coaching consists of conversations where you get help to set a goal for yourself that inspires you. A goal that is important for you to achieve, but where you don’t need to know how to reach it right away.

Through coaching sessions, you will be supported in achieving what you want and breaking through the limitations both within yourself and those you encounter in your life.

For example, a goal could be: "setting boundaries in my relationships." You might have wanted to set boundaries for a long time and have felt how difficult it is for you when you don’t do it. You’ve encountered your obstacles and inner limitations. Inner limitations are the thoughts that control the "show." Thoughts, fears, and insecurities that guide you from within. When you receive coaching, you break through those limitations and gain a new belief in yourself, which in turn influences your actions.

My well-being-promoting coaching programs take place through Hverdagens Helte, where I am employed as a youth coach. The programs are designed with the intention of helping those who are going through a tough time in life and want assistance in breaking free from limiting thoughts and low self-esteem. We always work from a holistic approach, keeping a focus on the specific situation you are in.

A coaching program is for those who want to develop more self-acceptance and experience an inner power that helps you stand stronger in yourself—especially when life feels tough. When we face challenges in life and have difficulty finding a way through the many emotions that come with it, we can hide parts of ourselves and believe that everything has to be perfect. Some feelings can seem too intense and shameful, and when we don't dare to feel them, they will create more inner turmoil. In the courses, we will work on letting go of perfectionism and limiting beliefs about ourselves, so that the feelings and sides we often think are 'bad' can be met with greater self-acceptance. You are much more than you think, and when you learn to embrace all sides of yourself through the courses, you can experience your inner strength and use it when life throws challenging situations your way.

 

 

How does it work?

Teen coaching begins with an initial session where you come with your parents if you’re under 18.

After the first coaching conversation, we’ll figure out what you—and possibly your parents—need. The initial session lasts about 60–75 minutes.

Sometimes, parents only stay for part of the first session and then leave, for example, after half the time. We’ll adapt depending on your needs.

Sessions can take place at our locations in Lyngby, Gentofte, Aarhus—or online.

Medium package
7 sessions of 1 hour
Duration: approx. 15 weeks

10 sessions of 1 hour
Duration: approx. 20 weeks
Price: DKK 9,000
